Breaking Star Productions is an up and coming promotion, booking, design and clothing company residing in Baltimore , Maryland . Breaking Star was created in January of 2003 by Stephanie Dickard. The concept of Breaking Star was started with the idea to create a website to network of bands across the United States and to be of assistance as much as possible. This idea grew into many different areas that are now what Breaking Star is all about. The main goal of Breaking Star is to create a sense of a family atmosphere between the bands, the staff, and the general music scene. Even though the majority of the staff is barely out of high school, they have managed to keep the Breaking Star Family growing. Breaking Star plans on booking shows more frequent and continuing to support the scene.

What We Do:

+ Promotion

- Promotion is done by staff members for Breaking Star and other shows that are bands are on the bill. Bands must inform us of non-Breaking Star shows, releases, new mp3s, ect for us to go ahead and promote.

+ Booking

- Steph and James are currently the booking coordinators at St. Johns Church in Phoenix , MD. There are only a few select dates available. Contact them here for interest in booking there.

+ Design

- What we design: t-shirts, CD layouts, pins, ect ect. We do not do website design. Contact Steph for prices and more information.

+ Clothing

- Go to the Clothing page for all up to date information on our shirts.

What You Have To Do:

Joining the Family:

- We must approve you, either send us a CD or email us a link. We apologize for how long this process can take. You must fill out the survey provided below. Before adding a band, we do like to get to know our bands. We would like to meet up at a show or even for coffee, but if this is not possible we can work something out. We are a very supportive family and do not tolerate inconsiderate behavior. You must link us. We support you, therefore you should support us. If you do not, you will be removed from the site. Shout outs on stage and wearing a t-shirt is always welcomed. Support your fellow band members and our staff.

** We do not make our bands pay us. We feel as we are supporting mainly up and coming acts and having them pay would only interfere with their ability to do other things to get exposure. We have the right to make alternations to the general workings and rules of Breaking Star, as well as with cause to remove a band from the family.**
